The standard
What accreditation requires
Accreditation does not mean a business has no complaints. It means the organization accepts continuing review and participates in resolution.
Verified identity
Business ownership, contact details, operating history, and relevant licensing signals are reviewed.
Clear marketplace practices
Pricing, terms, guarantees, and advertising must avoid material deception.
Complaint participation
The business agrees to timely, good-faith responses in the structured case process.
Continuing monitoring
Accreditation can be suspended or removed when conduct no longer meets the published standard.
Website seal
Use the seal only while current.
The transparent asset works on light or dark website surfaces. Accredited businesses should link it back to their live MeritMark record so visitors can verify status.
